RuPaul’s Drag Race has become a global cultural phenomenon. Having begun life showcasing drag queens in the United States, the franchise has now been replicated in a number of countries around the world.
Next on the starting grid is Drag Race Belgium.
Casting is already underway, and we’re expecting Drag Race Belgium to be on our screens later this year.
While the broadcast network hasn’t yet been announced, it has been confirmed that the language of the series will be French. Outside of Belgium, the series will be available on streaming platforms.
The host, judges, cast, and premiere date for Drag Race Belgium are yet to be revealed.
Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, co-founders of World of Wonder, said in a co-statement:
“It is wonderful to be able to introduce a fierce new group of queens with Drag Race Belgium, and we absolutely love being able to bring untapped talent to the table, new territories and new material on screens around the world…” said World of Wonder producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato. “We’ve always said that the art of drag is a universal language, and Drag Race proves it time and time again. We can’t wait to see what our Belgian queens will bring to our ever-expanding drag family.”
