Building on the success of his film Girl (released in 2018), filmmaker Lukas Dhont – from Ghent – has received the Grand Prix at the recent Cannes Film Festival for Close.
Close is a story about two young boys whose friendship comes to an abrupt end – exploring themes of loss of innocence and the putting away of childish things.
The film stars Eden Dambrine as Léo, a 13-year-old boy who lives in a rustic idyll with his best friend Rémi (Gustav De Waele).
