Discover CRUCE<\/a>, the new choreographic project of Marcos Arriola<\/a> on Saturday April 23rd at Halles de Schaerbeek<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A WorkShot is a BlitzSnark – a choreographer, a dozen professional performers, a commando trek of his dramaturgical questionings, and his scenic vocabulary. Fifteen days to map its edges, to make its borders waver, to meet an audience without a net. They\u00a0don’t look for a product to present, they\u00a0spend time together and, like the salt from the edge of an ocean suitably exposed to the sun, the fundamental crystal becomes visible. A lightning experiment, a dazzling creation process, a flash of public exposure: a challenge for all partners! \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his new creation CRUCE, choreographer Marcos Arriola celebrates the dancefloor as a meeting place and as a claim to our subjectivities with stylish\u00a0warriors. A strategic place to revolutionize the norms of sexuality, gender, and race, the dancing body is political. Like the trophies of these micro-political struggles, the dancers gathered for two weeks will go through the gestures of an aesthetic of resistance. On the stage, each dancer throws their\u00a0subjectivity, their\u00a0lost and found body, when, amidst shouts of encouragement, the recalcitrant movement triggers a catharsis. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marcos is an Argentinean artist based between Paris and Brussels. He trained in contemporary dance at the National University of Arts of Buenos Aires, at the School of Physical Theater of Buenos Aires (ETBA), at the CND (National Center of Dance), at the University of Paris 8. He continued his training as a choreographer in Brussels, where he obtained the Certificate of Choreographic Practices of Charleroi-Danse. More recently, he participated in the project La Temp\u00eate by Boris Charmatz at the Grand Palais in Paris.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
