Running from&nbsp;<strong>25 to 28 June 2026<\/strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<strong>Flagey<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Marni<\/strong>, the programme moves from Mozart to jazz, from Sufi traditions to Brazilian rhythms, and from Bach to contemporary creation, inviting audiences to travel through music rather than simply listen to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the heart of the opening day is a concert that will likely speak especially strongly to queer audiences:&nbsp;<strong>The Amazing Keystone Big Band \u2013 Judy Garland<\/strong>, on&nbsp;<strong>Thursday 25 June at 7 pm<\/strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<strong>Flagey, Studio 4<\/strong>. The programme revisits twelve emblematic songs associated with Garland, from&nbsp;<em>Somewhere Over the Rainbow<\/em>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<em>Get Happy<\/em>, in a reorchestration that blends jazz vitality with emotional memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"judy-garland-as-icon-and-echo\">Judy Garland as icon and echo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Judy Garland\u2019s place in queer culture needs no explanation: she remains one of the great emotional and symbolic figures of 20th-century popular music, a performer whose vulnerability, glamour and theatrical intensity have long resonated far beyond the world of musicals. The programme also includes&nbsp;<strong>Vassilena Serafimova, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Escriva &amp; Quatuor Ardeo<\/strong>&nbsp;on 26 June,&nbsp;<strong>Open Road<\/strong>&nbsp;with Lorenzo Gatto and Ensemble Karavan on 27 June, and&nbsp;<strong>Because<\/strong>&nbsp;with R\u00e9ginald Mobley and Baptiste Trotignon on 28 June, each exploring a different way of connecting classical music with jazz, improvisation or world influences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That makes the festival feel especially aligned with queer ways of moving through culture: not by keeping genres sealed off, but by letting them speak to each other.
