Ready to experience storytelling like never before? This June, BOZAR invites you to leave reality at the door and dive headfirst into the world of immersive cinema with their monthly VR Film Screening series. This time, the spotlight is on LGBTQ+ identity and desire—perfectly timed for Pride Month!
What’s On the Program?
BOZAR’s June edition features two powerful virtual reality films that promise to move, challenge, and inspire:
In the Mist
Directed by Chou Tung-Yen, this poetic VR film takes you inside the steamy, atmospheric world of a sauna. Through mesmerizing visuals and intimate storytelling, In the Mist explores male desire and queer intimacy in a space where vulnerability and connection take center stage. It’s a truly unique way to see—and feel—what’s usually hidden from view.
Her Name Was Gisberta
Prepare for an emotional journey with this tribute to Gisberta Salce, a Brazilian trans woman whose tragic story became a rallying cry against transphobia. Her Name Was Gisberta is a moving homage that shines a light on resilience, remembrance, and the ongoing fight for trans rights.
Heads Up: These experiences are reserved for adults only, so be sure to bring your ID and an open mind!
