5 Days, 1 Queer Capital: Inside the Various Voices Brussels 2026 Festival Programme

From June 24 to 28, 2026, Brussels becomes a queer choral playground: five days of concerts, shows, street performances, parties and one massive anthem sung by thousands of LGBTQI+ voices.

A festival you can join before it even starts

Various Voices Brussels 2026 officially runs from Wednesday 24 to Sunday 28 June 2026, but the experience begins earlier with community rehearsals of the festival anthem “Let Your Heart Be Heard.” If you love singing—or just want to try—you can join rehearsals at Bozar on Sundays 10 April, 10 May and 7 June, from 14:00 to 17:00. Participation is included if you have a ticket for the big ING Arena show, or costs just €5 per rehearsal if you want to join in without attending the arena concert.

Wednesday 24 June – Welcome to the queer village

The festival kicks off at 12:00 with the opening of the Various Voices Village at BIP, in the heart of Brussels. In the afternoon, from 15:00 to 18:00, choirs spread across the city for “Various Voices & the City” street concerts, bringing queer harmonies into public space.

Le site Opening Ceremony à l'adresse Bozar takes place twice, at 18:00 and 21:00, in full cabaret mode: “Willkommen! Bienvenue! Welcome!” in a space that honours the history of queer communities and invites you to come in your best Queer Chic look. The night continues with a Welcome Party at C12 à l'adresse 23:00, in a cabaret-and-jazz atmosphere to launch the festival in style.

Thursday 25 June – Surrealism, choirs and a queer night out

On Thursday, the day starts with festival anthem rehearsals at Bozar from 10:00 to 12:00. From 14:00 to 18:00, choirs perform concerts at Bozar, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts (MRBA) and La Madeleine, offering a rich mix of repertoires and styles.

In the evening, “The Treachery of Images” takes over Cirque Royal à l'adresse 18:00 and 20:30, a show inspired by Belgian surrealism that questions what is visible and invisible and shines a light on those who remain in the shadows. The night ends with a Surrealist Party at C12 at 23:00, featuring strange, mysterious creatures in an underground vibe.

Friday 26 June – Queerdom, crowns and ballroom vibes

Friday again opens with anthem rehearsals at Bozar from 10:00 to 12:00, getting ready for the big anthem moment. Afternoon concerts run from 14:00 to 18:00 à l'adresse Bozar, MRBA and Cirque Royal, with choirs from all over Europe and beyond.

In the evening, “Royalties” takes over Cirque Royal à l'adresse 18:00 and 20:30, transforming Belgium from a kingdom into a Queerdom. Expect Queens, Kings, Princes and Princesses, ballroom culture, and a celebration of musical icons who have shaped our history—crowns strongly encouraged. The Royalties Party at C12 at 23:00 promises a night “crowned with royal performances.”

Saturday 27 June – Let Your Heart Be Heard

Saturday morning brings the final anthem rehearsals at Bozar from 10:00 to 12:00. From 11:00 to 14:00, “Various Voices & the City” returns with more street concerts, followed by afternoon concerts from 14:00 to 18:00 à l'adresse Bozar, MRBA and Cirque Royal.

At 21:00, all roads lead to the ING Arena for the major show “Let Your Heart Be Heard.” Under the European flag, this night reflects on how far our community has come and where it is heading, with the festival anthem taking on a deliberately political role as generations pass the baton to each other. The Various Voices Main Party at C12 at 23:00 is “your” night: a space to show your individuality and intersectionality and take the power on the dancefloor.

Sunday 28 June – See you soon, not goodbye

On Sunday, the festival closes with two Closing Ceremonies at Bozar, at 12:00 and 14:30. The idea is not to say farewell, but “see you soon”, as choirs collectively close Various Voices Brussels 2026 and pass the baton to the next organising city for 2030. The ceremony will be a celebration in the colours of Belgium and the future host city, with one last look back at what has been shared—and what still lies ahead.

A queer festival in the heart of Brussels

The festival is fully embedded in the historic Royal Quarter of Brussels, with all main venues within walking distance. The Various Voices Village will be set up on Place du Musée, in front of Auditorium 490, and a large outdoor stage will be installed at the Albertine, at the foot of the Mont des Arts park. An accessibility charter is being prepared to ensure the festival is as inclusive and welcoming as possible.

Key venues include:

• Bozar – Salle Henry Le Bœuf & Salle M: Opening/closing ceremonies and afternoon concerts; designed by Victor Horta and considered one of the world’s top five concert halls, with capacities of 1800 et 480 seats.
• Cirque Royal: Hosts major evening shows on Thursday and Friday, plus Saturday afternoon concerts; capacity 1700 for shows, 1000 for concerts.
• Auditorium 490 (Royal Museums of Fine Arts): Afternoon concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday; 490 seats.
• La Madeleine: Concert hall near Grand-Place with a dramatic spiral staircase framing the stage, used for Thursday and Friday afternoon concerts; 740 seats.
• C12: Inclusive club under Central Station, with staff trained to welcome the queer community; festival party venue every night, capacity 1,200 people.
• ING Arena: One of Belgium’s biggest concert halls, near the Atomium, hosting the Saturday night “Let Your Heart Be Heard” mega-show and the biggest choir ever seen in Belgium, with 8,000 seats.

All venues are easily accessible by Brussels public transport, including metro, tram and bus connections from Gare Centrale, Parc, Madou, Royal, Grand-Place, Heysel and more.
