The track <strong>\u201cMasculinity\u201d<\/strong>, already streamed <strong>over 10 million times<\/strong>, is a raw exploration of identity, challenging the rigid definitions of what it means to be a man. <strong>\u201cI allowed myself to explore the many facets of masculinity in song. Having studied at <strong>Institut Saint-Luc in Tournai<\/strong>, he built connections with influential Belgian artists, including <strong>Rom\u00e9o Elvis<\/strong>. In early 2024, he returned to perform at <strong>the Magritte du Cin\u00e9ma ceremony<\/strong> before giving his <strong>first-ever Brussels concert at Botanique<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following his breakthrough performances, he released <strong>&#8220;Happier On My Own&#8221;<\/strong> in <strong>November 2024<\/strong>, accompanied by a strikingly <strong>retro-inspired music video<\/strong>. I\u2019d never felt safe to say that it\u2019s hard to be a man. This patriarchal system is not only detrimental to women\u2014it destroys everyone who doesn\u2019t adhere to the idea. And I am one of them. I grew up without an arm, I was gay, I found out I\u2019m HIV positive. This image of a strong \u2018alpha male\u2019 is so far away from me.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even within the LGBTQ+ community, Lucky Love has felt the pressure of <strong>toxic hypermasculinity<\/strong>. <strong>\u201cEven in the gay community, there is this fixation on hypermasculinity. I was twenty-seven when I wrote \u2018Masculinity,\u2019 and it was the age when I thought I\u2019d become that strong guy they all talk about. I quickly realized that it didn\u2019t make me happy at all.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through his music and artistry, <strong>Lucky Love amplifies the voices of those who defy societal expectations and embrace their true selves<\/strong>.
