His journey began with a cultural shock: arriving in Belgium at age 7, struggling with a new language and identity. At 12, it was <strong>Mika\u2019s debut album<\/strong> that cracked open two worlds at once\u2014his love for music and his queer awakening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/ket.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Mic-Owl-by-Gael-Maleux-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49155\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ket.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Mic-Owl-by-Gael-Maleux-1.jpg 683w, https:\/\/ket.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Mic-Owl-by-Gael-Maleux-1-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/ket.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Mic-Owl-by-Gael-Maleux-1-8x12.jpg 8w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\"<strong>Sixteen years later, I got the opportunity to audition for <em>The Voice Belgique<\/em>. I joined Typh Barrow\u2019s team, made it past the blind auditions and into the Knockouts. A year later, I released my first EP, <em>Lustfully Ever After<\/em>. It\u2019s been intense!<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now based in Madrid with his boyfriend, Mic is embracing a fresh chapter\u2014personally and musically. He\u2019s exploring <strong>tropical house, club beats<\/strong>, and a new sonic universe: \u201cIn these times of recession, rising hate and tension, I feel the surge of escapism\u2014and I want to explore that lane.\u201d Alongside this musical rebirth comes a visual one: \u201c<strong>I\u2019m taking the time to reinvent my aesthetic. It\u2019s scary and exciting.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But beyond the beats and visuals, Mic stands for a quieter, often underrepresented side of queerness. \u201cI want to represent a part of the community that\u2019s more introverted, less exuberant, that dreams of building a family and chilling on a Friday night.\u201d For him, queerness is about authenticity, not stereotypes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/ket.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Mic-Owl-by-Gael-Maleux-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49156\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ket.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Mic-Owl-by-Gael-Maleux-2.jpg 683w, https:\/\/ket.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Mic-Owl-by-Gael-Maleux-2-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/ket.brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Mic-Owl-by-Gael-Maleux-2-8x12.jpg 8w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He\u2019s inspired by queer icons like Freddie Mercury, Elton John, Billie Eilish, and Lil Nas X\u2014artists who break norms and open space for others. \u201c<strong>I hope in the future, no one will need to come out. Loving who you love should just be normal.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From voguing nights in Brussels to sun-drenched tracks in Madrid, <strong>Mic Owl<\/strong> is building bridges\u2014between cultures, sounds, and hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <a class=\"\"
