Diagnosed with burn-out, on a new path toward understanding his autism, and reflecting on his trans identity, Bo began gathering fragments of past writings\u2014old journals, school notes, Facebook posts, unsent texts. \u201c<strong>After my transition, I was discovering a new part of myself. I wanted to understand how I used to speak about me, even when I didn\u2019t yet have the words<\/strong>.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is a book that doesn\u2019t explain\u2014it invites. Instead of linear storytelling, <em>BICHE BOY<\/em> unfolds like life itself: messy, nonlinear, tender. \u201c<strong>I think what matters is the journey<\/strong>,\u201d Bo says. \u201c<strong>You don\u2019t have to be trans to explore doubt, the need for love, or the search for respect. Identity is for all of us<\/strong>.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bo\u2019s prose is unfiltered but never chaotic. It flows freely from poetry to slam, diary to social post\u2014not out of artistic pretension, but because this is simply how life was lived and recorded. \u201c<strong>Sometimes it comes out as poetry, sometimes prose. I don\u2019t choose\u2014I welcome it. These texts weren\u2019t meant to be shared. Making them public was a political act.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sur <em>BICHE BOY<\/em>, the personal is unmistakably political. But more than a manifesto, the book offers a mirror to queer readers in search of themselves. \u201cT<strong>hrough my intimate experiences, I want others to feel less alone in their own identity journeys, whether they\u2019re trans or cis. I want them to feel legit in their doubt, their stumbles, their need to explore<\/strong>.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bo is no stranger to the public eye. Performer, MC, actor\u2014his voice carries beyond the page. \u201cM<strong>y poetry comes from what shakes me up. Sometimes it becomes a film, sometimes a song. The form doesn\u2019t matter, as long as it carries a message. I embody what I want to see. I use my voice, my body, to make the invisible visible<\/strong>.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still, there\u2019s no performance in Bo\u2019s advice to those who might find <em>BICHE BOY<\/em> by chance. It\u2019s pure, unguarded solidarity:<br>\u201cT<strong>ake your time. What you feel is valid. You\u2019re allowed to doubt, to cry, to take side steps. You are not alone. You are seen. You exist. And you deserve all the love in the world.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avec <em>BICHE BOY<\/em>, Bo Rainotte (@bichedeville) offers us more than a book.
