In the afternoon, from&nbsp;<strong>15:00 to 18:00<\/strong>, choirs spread across the city for&nbsp;<strong>\u201cVarious Voices &amp; the City\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;street concerts, bringing queer harmonies into public space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le site&nbsp;<strong>Opening Ceremony<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e0 l'adresse&nbsp;<strong>Bozar<\/strong>&nbsp;takes place twice, at&nbsp;<strong>18:00 and 21:00<\/strong>, in full cabaret mode:&nbsp;<em>\u201cWillkommen! Bienvenue! Welcome!\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;in a space that honours the history of queer communities and invites you to come in your best&nbsp;<strong>Queer Chic<\/strong>&nbsp;look. The night continues with a&nbsp;<strong>Welcome Party at C12<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e0 l'adresse&nbsp;<strong>23:00<\/strong>, in a cabaret-and-jazz atmosphere to launch the festival in style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"thursday-25-june--surrealism-choirs-and-a-queer-ni\">Thursday 25 June \u2013 Surrealism, choirs and a queer night out<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Thursday, the day starts with&nbsp;<strong>festival anthem rehearsals at Bozar from 10:00 to 12:00<\/strong>. From&nbsp;<strong>14:00 to 18:00<\/strong>, choirs perform concerts at&nbsp;<strong>Bozar, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts (MRBA) and La Madeleine<\/strong>, offering a rich mix of repertoires and styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the evening,&nbsp;<strong>\u201cThe Treachery of Images\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;takes over&nbsp;<strong>Cirque Royal<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e0 l'adresse&nbsp;<strong>18:00 and 20:30<\/strong>, a show inspired by Belgian surrealism that questions what is visible and invisible and shines a light on those who remain in the shadows. The night ends with a&nbsp;<strong>Surrealist Party at C12 at 23:00<\/strong>, featuring strange, mysterious creatures in an underground vibe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"friday-26-june--queerdom-crowns-and-ballroom-vibes\">Friday 26 June \u2013 Queerdom, crowns and ballroom vibes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Friday again opens with&nbsp;<strong>anthem rehearsals at Bozar from 10:00 to 12:00<\/strong>, getting ready for the big anthem moment. Afternoon concerts run from&nbsp;<strong>14:00 to 18:00<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e0 l'adresse&nbsp;<strong>Bozar, MRBA and Cirque Royal<\/strong>, with choirs from all over Europe and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the evening,&nbsp;<strong>\u201cRoyalties\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;takes over&nbsp;<strong>Cirque Royal<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e0 l'adresse&nbsp;<strong>18:00 and 20:30<\/strong>, transforming Belgium from a kingdom into a&nbsp;<strong>Queerdom<\/strong>. Expect Queens, Kings, Princes and Princesses, ballroom culture, and a celebration of musical icons who have shaped our history\u2014crowns strongly encouraged. From&nbsp;<strong>11:00 to 14:00<\/strong>, \u201cVarious Voices &amp; the City\u201d returns with more street concerts, followed by afternoon concerts from&nbsp;<strong>14:00 to 18:00<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e0 l'adresse&nbsp;<strong>Bozar, MRBA and Cirque Royal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At&nbsp;<strong>21:00<\/strong>, all roads lead to the&nbsp;<strong>ING Arena<\/strong>&nbsp;for the major show&nbsp;<strong>\u201cLet Your Heart Be Heard.\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;Under the European flag, this night reflects on how far our community has come and where it is heading, with the festival anthem taking on a deliberately&nbsp;<strong>political<\/strong>&nbsp;role as generations pass the baton to each other. The&nbsp;<strong>Various Voices Main Party at C12 at 23:00<\/strong>&nbsp;is \u201cyour\u201d night: a space to show your individuality and intersectionality and take the power on the dancefloor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"sunday-28-june--see-you-soon-not-goodbye\">Sunday 28 June \u2013 See you soon, not goodbye<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Sunday, the festival closes with&nbsp;<strong>two Closing Ceremonies at Bozar, at 12:00 and 14:30<\/strong>. The idea is not to say farewell, but&nbsp;<strong>\u201csee you soon\u201d<\/strong>, as choirs collectively close Various Voices Brussels 2026 and pass the baton to the next organising city for 2030. The ceremony will be a celebration in the colours of Belgium and the future host city, with one last look back at what has been shared\u2014and what still lies ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-queer-festival-in-the-heart-of-brussels\">A queer festival in the heart of Brussels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival is fully embedded in the&nbsp;<strong>historic Royal Quarter<\/strong>&nbsp;of Brussels, with all main venues within walking distance. The&nbsp;<strong>Various Voices Village<\/strong>&nbsp;will be set up on&nbsp;<strong>Place du Mus\u00e9e<\/strong>, in front of Auditorium 490, and a large outdoor stage will be installed at the&nbsp;<strong>Albertine<\/strong>, at the foot of the Mont des Arts park. An&nbsp;<strong>accessibility charter<\/strong>&nbsp;is being prepared to ensure the festival is as inclusive and welcoming as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key venues include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bozar \u2013 Salle Henry Le B\u0153uf &amp; Salle M<\/strong>: Opening\/closing ceremonies and afternoon concerts; designed by Victor Horta and considered one of the world\u2019s top five concert halls, with capacities of\u00a0<strong>1800<\/strong>\u00a0et\u00a0<strong>480<\/strong>\u00a0seats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cirque Royal<\/strong>: Hosts major evening shows on Thursday and Friday, plus Saturday afternoon concerts; capacity\u00a0<strong>1700<\/strong>\u00a0for shows,\u00a0<strong>1000<\/strong>\u00a0for concerts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Auditorium 490 (Royal Museums of Fine Arts)<\/strong>: Afternoon concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday;\u00a0<strong>490<\/strong>\u00a0seats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>La Madeleine<\/strong>: Concert hall near Grand-Place with a dramatic spiral staircase framing the stage, used for Thursday and Friday afternoon concerts;\u00a0<strong>740<\/strong>\u00a0seats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>C12<\/strong>: Inclusive club under Central Station, with staff trained to welcome the queer community; festival party venue every night, capacity\u00a0<strong>1,200<\/strong>\u00a0people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ING Arena<\/strong>: One of Belgium\u2019s biggest concert halls, near the Atomium, hosting the Saturday night \u201cLet Your Heart Be Heard\u201d mega-show and the biggest choir ever seen in Belgium, with\u00a0<strong>8,000<\/strong>\u00a0seats.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stib-mivb.be\/accueil\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.stib-mivb.be\/accueil\">All venues are easily accessible by Brussels public transport, including metro, tram and bus connections from\u00a0<strong>Gare Centrale, Parc, Madou, Royal, Grand-Place, Heysel<\/strong>\u00a0and more.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Programme and venues:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/various-voices.be\/programme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/various-voices.be\/programme\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>KET Magazine is a community\u2011driven, non\u2011profit magazine run by volunteers based in Brussels.
