Welkom, Bienvenue Chez Maman ce samedi soir. 25 jaar lang verwelkomde het Brusselse travestietenicoon Maman queer mensen in haar beroemde cabaret. Vandaag kondigde ze aan dat ze zich terugtrekt uit de scene en de show overlaat aan haar meisjes.
Serge Morel had al gezegd dat hij in 2022 zou stoppen met optreden. Met de COVID-crisis en de sluiting van alle culturele en uitgaansgelegenheden kwam de beslissing eerder en is het tijd voor Maman om België te verlaten en te gaan genieten van het leven met haar man in het zuidwesten van Frankrijk.
Maar geen zorgen, de toekomst is verzekerd aangezien zij de drag mother is voor zoveel Brusselse drag queens. Wij wensen haar veel plezier bij haar verdere projecten en danken haar voor al die jaren van geluk, glitter en songs !
