Loreen is pas de tweede vrouw die Eurovisie twee keer wint - haar lied Tattoo versloeg net de aanstekelijke Finse inzending Cha Cha Cha.
Loreen, die tijdens de juryronde een grote voorsprong had opgebouwd, kon de Finse Käärijä met de meeste publieksstemmen van zich afzetten.
De eindscores zagen Loreen winnen met 583 punten, voor Käärijä op 526 punten.
De top vijf werd vervolledigd door Israël, Italië en Noorwegen.
Gustaph vertegenwoordigde België met een 7e plaats met 182 punten.
Aan de andere kant van de tabel stonden het Verenigd Koninkrijk met 24 punten en Duitsland met 18 punten.
Dit betekent dat Eurovisie in 2024 naar Zweden gaat - 50 jaar nadat Abba de trofee wegkaapte met Waterloo.
