Met de nieuwe muzikale compositie The Transition Pieces, brengt Gérald Arev Kurdian onder de noemer Hot Bodies pop en experiment. In het eerste hoofdstuk Chant I smelten elektronische muziekstukken samen tot het sonische dagboek van een lichaam in transitie, navigerend door een wereld in continue staat van onrust. Een transformatieve en collectieve lofzang voor de 21ste eeuw, folklore in een tijdperk voorbij het internet.

An iconic feminist musician, producer, director, and performance artist, Peaches first catapulted to stardom with her “surreally funny [and] nasty” (Rolling Stone) 2000 debut, The Teaches of Peaches, which introduced the world to her sexually transgressive, fiercely assertive, and utterly captivating persona. Since then, Peaches has released four more trailblazing albums, won the prestigious Polaris Heritage Prize, collaborated with everyone from Iggy Pop and Daft Punk to Christina Aguilera and Yoko Ono, landed songs in cultural watermarks like Lost in Translation and The Handmaid’s Tale, and seen her work studied at universities around the world. In addition to her musical output, Peaches has directed over 20 videos, co-curated a photo book of her life, created a host of immersive installations and performative works, and penned the electro-rock opera Peaches Does Herself, which was adapted into a film shown at over 70 festivals. The subject of two acclaimed documentaries, Peaches has also played the title role in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Brecht’s The Seven Deadly Sins and continues to perform her widely lauded one-woman show, Peaches Christ Superstar. Peaches’ newest album, No Lube So Rude, recorded with co-producer The Squirt Deluxe, is a brash, unapologetic exploration of identity, sexuality, age, and bodily autonomy, a provocative work of emotional and sonic alchemy that balances the poetic and the profane in equal measure as it transforms all the friction and frustration of modern life into joy and transcendence. Indie-liefhebbers opgelet: Big Thief strijkt neer in Vorst Nationaal en sleurt je mee in hun wereld van breekbare melodieën, dromerige gitaarlijnen en krachtige verhalen.

Kom samen naar een verhaaltje luisteren voorgelezen door twee prachtige queens. Bij mooi weer gaat het buiten door.

Een hommage aan Julie Andrews en de hoogdagen van de musical met de mooiste songs uit The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, West Side Story… 

Au-dela de sa voix et sa personnalité incontournable, les textes de Barbara continuent de remplir les salles. L’album « Barbara n°2 » est aussi appelé « Le mal de vivre ». Sixième album studio aux titres forts et personnels : Gottingen, Septembre etc. L’accompagnement est aéré, discret, élégant et sophistiqué. Co-écriture sur certains titres par Françoise Lo alias Sophie Makhno.

De Quinceañera valt samen met de vijftiende verjaardag van een meisje, en markeert tegelijk de overgang van kind naar volwassene. Het Latijns-Amerikaanse feestje, met wortels in Europese debutantenbals en oorspronkelijke overgangsrituelen, heeft een groot performatief gehalte en kent ook een gewelddadig aspect. Estefanía Álvarez Ramírez & Luisa Fernanda Alfonso gaan ermee aan de slag in hun choreografie, en proberen zo via dans een nieuw Quinceañera-ritueel in het leven te roepen.

Het Europese LGBTQI+-koorfestival Various Voices Brussels 2026 biedt een grootse show met tientallen koren en talrijke artiesten. Het hoogtepunt van de avond is de vertolking van het lied “Let Your Heart Be Heard” door de 4000 festivalgangers.
