He was reclaiming his story. The sultry, R&amp;B-infused track, produced by Darkchild, fuses 00s nostalgia with dance-floor intensity. His response was brief, but powerful:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\"<strong>I am not ashamed of my sexuality!<\/strong> \u2026 I<strong> wasn\u2019t hiding anything. I got outted and the world still continues to turn.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since then, the singer has called the experience \u201ca blessing in disguise.\u201d The unwanted exposure pushed him toward a new kind of honesty. \u201c<strong>This album is a celebration of being out and a representation of my queerness<\/strong>,\u201d he told <em>People<\/em>. Instead of retreating, he\u2019s turned the pain of that moment into art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <em>\u201cOut of Body,\u201d<\/em> that transformation is tangible. Desire becomes transcendence; love becomes liberation. When Khalid and his partner lock eyes in a dimly lit public toilet, the scene feels both taboo and triumphant\u2014a metaphor for reclaiming the spaces where queer intimacy was once hidden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After years of being a global pop star known for vulnerability but not visibility, Khalid is finally writing from the inside out.
