Premiering at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atelier210.be\/fr\/agenda\/pov-justine-theizen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Atelier 210<\/a>&nbsp;from&nbsp;11 to 22 November 2025, the show explores how lesbian and queer identities are shaped and shared \u2014 from scrolling TikTok to dancing on stage. Accessible, funny, and thought-provoking, POV is both a celebration of diversity and an invitation to mutual understanding. <\/strong>Interview by Ket Mag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What I want to defend with this performance is positive representation \u2014 being free to explore my identity through sexuality, and breaking free from norms with humor and love.<br>\u2014 Justine Theizen<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hip Hop Meets Queer Humor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With POV, Theizen creates an interactive, rhythmic world where dance, theatre, and video intertwine. Drawing on her own journey \u2014 always between communities, never in a single box \u2014 Justine Theizen invites audiences to experience queer identities in motion. \u201cI\u2019ve never fit entirely into a single box \u2014 not only as a dancer, not fully at home in one community. POV gives form to that in-between space.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The show uses humor, activism, and self-irony to critique mainstream norms that shape hip hop and queer spaces alike. The audience joins games asking whether an image is Justin Bieber or a lesbian, revealing the codes and contradictions of popular culture. \u201cHumor opens up difficult conversations in a positive way. For Justine, social media was the first time she saw raw, direct queer representation. Lesbian creators use the platform to confront microaggressions and share authentic experiences, outside of fictional narratives. \u201cEven in queer spaces, heteronormativity and capitalism are present. TikTok can uplift or divide. Trained in krump and hip hop theatre under Cindy Claes, she has worked with companies such as\u00a0<em>RUUPTUUR<\/em>\u00a0(Mercedes Dassy, Atelier 210), RUUPTUUR &#8211; Mercedes Dassy, Categoreez- Yassin Payne, I\u2019ll be there for you ( for me) &#8211; Lorena Spindler, Rivoluzione e Nostalgia &#8211; Michiel Vandevelde &#8211; Opera de la monnaie\u00a0.
