In collaboration with Design Museum Brussels, KET Magazine and Vjeran are celebrating women in techno music for the International Women’s Day on the 8th of March. In a set recorded in the Design Museum Brussels, among art created and designed by women, Vjeran played a set of tracks produced, featured and/or remixed exclusively by women. Often marginalized and belittled in a male dominated industry, women are an everlasting force of creativity and inspiration in house and techno music.

Techno would probably not sound as it does today, had there not been for women such as Delia Derbyshire and Daphne Oram, who pioneered electronic music production before there were any sorts of Digital Audio Workstations and who started an entire era of electronic music production.
Enjoy a set of women in techno as heard through Vjeran’s ear.
