After Amanda Tears‘ elimination from last week, the queens are back in the werkroom and they can read Amanda’s goodbye message in the mirror. Everyone congratulates Drag Couenne for winning the challenge and Valenciaga for surviving the fits lipsync.

It’s a new day in the werkroom, and the mini-challenge is about football. Looks like it is the worst nightmare for many contestants who remember painful sports lessons at school. Anyway, the queens get into quick drag and are photographed while trying to catch soccer balls thrown at them by the Frites Crew. And the most photogenic of these goofy goalkeepers is Edna Sorgelsen!

The maxi-challenge is announced and it is the ball challenge: the queens need to prepare two looks around the theme “Festival Realness”. One of the two looks has to be sewn using camping materials such as tents, chairs, plastic mattresses. Edna gets a five minute advantage to chose from the fabric supply.

Mocca Bone, Peach, and Valenciaga are feeling confident about this one because they know how to sew while Athena, Boop, Edna, Couenne, and especially Susan are completely stressed. Thankfully, queens are all helping each other. While working on their outfits, the contestants are visited by Rita Baga to discuss the concepts.

Back to the werkroom, it’s time to get ready for the runway and to learn a little bit more about the queen’s opinions about stage fright and how they cope with it. Susan decides to share that she likes to have a drink before going on stage to take the edge off but that she also notices that it is progressively increasing. Mademoiselle Boop relates to it by telling she became gradually alcoholic because of working nights. She was scared to reach a point of no return when Covid hit and her business was shut down and finally managed to become sober.

We move to the main stage and get together with the judges. Lufy, Mustii, and the guest judge: Jean-Paul Lespagnard The first runway theme is “Queens of the Stage”.

Susan’s David Bowie blue and orange inspired look is to die for and Edna’s surprising idea to impersonate her BFF Boop during the knife performance of the talent show is very well executed. Valenciaga and Boop’s outfits feel the most basic.
