Thomas is a passionate entrepreneur who turned his love for fashion into a successful venture. As the owner of 2BE Brussels, a store specializing in underwear and swimwear, Thomas not only provides unique fashion choices but also fosters inclusivity within the Brussels rainbow village.
Introduce yourself and your journey?
Thomas, aged 35, embarked on his professional journey with studies in Public Relations and Business Management. His dream of becoming an independent retailer in the fashion sector led him to manage 2BE, a store specializing in underwear and swimwear, before eventually taking over the business in 2017.
Tell us about 2Be Brussels and its concept?
2BE Brussels offers a diverse range of underwear and swimwear styles, catering to various tastes and preferences. With a selection of brands like Calvin Klein, Diesel, and Andrew Christian, the store aims to provide quality products that allow everyone to express their identity uniquely.
What does being a part of the Brussels rainbow village mean to you?
For Thomas, being part of the Brussels rainbow village is more than just a location—it’s a sense of pride and belonging to a vibrant and diverse community. By offering products tailored to the queer community, Thomas strives to create a welcoming space where everyone feels represented and accepted.
What do you wish for the future of the Brussels rainbow village?
Thomas hopes to see continued growth and inclusivity within the Brussels rainbow village, where everyone can express themselves freely without fear of discrimination. He envisions the neighborhood as a hub of cultural and social activities, promoting tolerance and mutual respect.
Quelles sont les initiatives queer bruxelloises ou belges que vous appréciez ?
Thomas supports initiatives like “Le Refuge Bruxelles,” providing accommodation and support to LGBTQIA+ youth, and “Show Playback,” which offers drag performances in non-traditional environments. By actively contributing to these initiatives, Thomas aims to amplify the voices and visibility of marginalized artists in the LGBTQIA+ community.
