Jakub Jankto, a révélé son homosexualité dans une vidéo publiée lundi sur le réseau social Twitter. L'international tchèque est l'un des premiers footballeurs à faire son coming out alors qu'il est encore en pleine carrière. Ce qui ne devrait pas être un non-événement à relayer dans nos médias le devient forcément, tant c'est rare dans le monde du football professionnel. International tchèque à 45 reprises, avec une dernière apparition sous le maillot de la sélection datant de juin 2022, Jakub Jankto a joué tous les matchs de l'Euro 2021.

Jakub Jankto, 27 ans, joue actuellement au Sparta Prague. Sa vidéo a été postée sur un compte Twitter créé spécialement pour l'occasion.

Il déclare simplement, avec force et courage : "Comme tout le monde, j'ai mes forces, j'ai mes faiblesses, j'ai une famille, j'ai des amis, j'ai un métier que j'exerce au mieux de mes capacités depuis des années, avec sérieux, professionnalisme et passion. Comme tout le monde. Je veux aussi vivre ma vie en toute liberté. Sans peur. Sans préjugés. Sans violence. MAIS avec amour. Je suis homosexuel et je ne veux plus me cacher".
