There’s something magical about a dancefloor that lives under a bridge. XRDS — Crossroads Festival returns this August 15 & 16 to Brussels’ Parc des Étangs with its unique urban vibe, concrete beauty, and pulsing heartbeats of electronic music. What started as a boutique techno gathering has evolved into one of Belgium’s most intimate and inclusive festivals — one that welcomes bodies of every kind, identities in all their glory, and the joy of collective rhythm.
Curated by Fuse, Brussels’ longest-running techno institution, XRDS 2025 promises two days of sonic elevation. But beyond the music — and what a lineup it is! — this festival stands out for what it represents: connection, diversity, and unapologetic self-expression. From the heavy-hitting sounds of DJ Nobu b2b GiGi FM, to the fluid energies of MCR-T, Sara Dziri, or the hybrid dreamscape of Voices From The Lake (Donato Dozzy & Neel), XRDS doesn’t just book DJs — it curates experiences.

"It’s not about fitting in. It’s about finding your place — or making your own,” says Marie-Julie, one of this year’s performing artists. And that ethos pulses through every stage. Whether you’re raving barefoot at The Viaduct, lounging at The Outskirts, or queering the night at the Fuse afterparty, XRDS gives you the space to be loud, be soft, be seen.

The festival isn’t branded as LGBTQIA+ per se — and that’s precisely the point. It doesn’t segment or tokenize, it invites. Many queer festival-goers return for this exact reason: “You don’t have to explain yourself here. You just are. And you dance,” shares Luka, a Brussels-based regular.
This year’s enhancements — redesigned layouts, audience-driven improvements, and smoother flows between spaces — show a deep respect for community feedback. The team’s commitment to hospitality and safety is just as strong as their musical curation.
As ticket waves continue to sell out, the message is clear: XRDS is more than a festival. It’s a gathering point, a crossroads — where sounds, souls, and subcultures meet under the open sky and celebrate freedom in its rawest form.
