Some nights entertain you. Others stay with you. Spin My Cabaret belongs to the second category. On April 11, KET was at Griffon in Paris to discover this playful, unpredictable cabaret night, and we left genuinely charmed by its energy, wit, and unapologetically queer spirit. You can find the venue here: Griffon Paris.
What makes the event stand out is its interactive format. Rather than presenting a linear drag show, Spin My Cabaret turns the audience into part of the performance, with games, challenges, blind tests, and the ever-unpredictable “Roue Paul” steering the evening in unexpected directions. The concept blends cabaret, competition, and collective participation into something that feels both fresh and deeply rooted in queer performance culture. The event’s Shotgun page gives a good sense of the atmosphere and format: Spin My Cabaret on Shotgun.
At the heart of the night are the performers. Alix Wastoma en Mlle Kiss host with ease and charisma, while Angelica Stratrice, Morphine Blazeen Billy the Kiss bring distinct personalities and strong stage presence to the lineup. Together, they create a cabaret space where glamour and absurdity coexist naturally, and where drag is not just a performance style but a shared language of freedom and self-expression. You can also explore more event listings and context on Queer Paris.
What we loved most was the way Spin My Cabaret balanced structure and chaos. Everything felt carefully designed to invite spontaneity, from the games to the audience interventions, making the whole evening feel alive and collective. In a city like Paris, where queer nightlife has long been a site of creativity and resistance, this kind of cabaret feels especially meaningful: playful, communal, and proudly unclassifiable.
Spin My Cabaret is more than a drag show. It is a queer playground, a celebration of improvisation, and a reminder that live performance is at its best when it lets the audience in on the fun.
