Brussels rolls out the fuchsia and yellow carpet once again as the Pink Screens – Brussels Queer Film Festival kicks off its 24th edition de Thursday, October 30 to Monday, November 10, 2025. Known as one of the boldest and most irreverent cultural events of the year, Pink Screens celebrates diversity through more than 150 films from around the world — showcasing the full spectrum of queer cinema in form, style, and spirit.

Opening Night – Thursday, October 31 at Cinema Nova
Join the opening festivities for an evening that captures the essence of Pink Screens: colorful, emotional, and fearless.

- 18:15 – Introduction by Pink Screens
- 18:30 – Blessing by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (Lille chapter)
- 19:00 – Film screenings begin:

- AVENTURE: Julian (with the director present)
- 21:30 – GALERIES: La Misteriosa Mirada del Flamenco
- 21:30 – NOVA: Des Preuves d’Amour (with the director present)
- 22:00 – Opening party at Madame Moustache (free entry)
Highlights and Focuses
This year’s festival features three main film spotlights:
- Latitudes Queers – exploring the intersection of migration and LGBTQIA+ identities
- Queer & Cheap – films that break boundaries on shoestring budgets
- Hecho en España – a special collaboration with Europalia España celebrating Spanish queer cinema
Awards and Events
Three jury prizes and an RTBF Short Film Purchase Award will honor Belgian filmmakers in three categories. Attend the award ceremony on Monday, November 10 at 19:00 at Cinema Nova (details here).
Beyond Brussels, Pink Screens takes its magic across Belgium — with screenings in Liège, Mons, and Ghent. The lineup includes 24 Belgian films and series, including the acclaimed Oh, Otto!.
