What is beauty—and who decides what qualifies? That’s the central question tackled by Fabbrica C, the Italian circus collective performing BELLO! as part of Brussels’ UP Festival, the annual celebration of urban circus and contemporary creation.
In this playful and thought‑provoking show, six performers take the audience on a humorous and acrobatic journey through humanity’s obsession with physical perfection. With dazzling physicality, razor‑sharp irony, and a flair for collective storytelling, they transform a simple beige ring into a microcosm of our image‑saturated world.
As the show unfolds, the stage morphs into a madcap catwalk where beauty standards are bent, flipped, and—quite literally—turned upside down. Expect tumbles of laughter, moments of pure grace, and a few sly winks at our own socially conditioned ideals.
BELLO! is circus with a mirror—and a wink. Joyful, fearless, and deeply human, it reminds us that beauty often hides in imperfection and collective chaos.
