When most of Brussels is closing the tabs and heading home, After Hours is just getting started. On Friday 24 July, from midnight to 06:00, Bonnefooi reopens under a new direction and turns into Brux’hell for a late‑night gathering where the dancefloor, not the bar, is the main character. This is for the queers, night owls and allied club creatures who know that the city’s best conversations happen when the lights are low and the bass is steady.
A freshly reopened Bonnefooi, a new kind of night
Bonnefooi has long been part of Brussels nightlife, but this edition of After Hours marks a fresh chapter: the club is recently reopened under new direction, and the night is framed as a space where staying late is not an accident, but the whole point.
From 00:00 to 06:00, La Garçonnière Prod. and LAST DAYS OF take over the room and invite everyone to treat the dancefloor as the centre of gravity. The pitch is simple and honest:
- when the lights fade elsewhere, the night is only just beginning
- from midnight until sunrise, you’re invited to surrender to hypnotic rhythms, unexpected encounters and bodies in motion
- the promise is not spectacle, but atmosphere: moonlight, sweat, desire, one floor, six hours.
For queer and allied dancers, that matters. It means the event is built around the people who stay — the ones who often feel pushed out when venues flip to bright lights and “time to go home”.

The sound: house, techno, electro, disco and in‑between
Behind the decks, Prinzessin & DJ Manuszko will guide the night through a wide spectrum: house, techno, electro, disco, and everything that slips between those labels.
This kind of range is exactly what keeps a long night breathable. You can move from tighter, hypnotic techno passages to looser disco‑shaped joy, from electro edges to deep house grooves without having to reset the mood every hour. For a crowd mixing different queer scenes, ages and tastes, it’s the difference between a playlist and a real journey.
AFTER HOURS is built to be continuous rather than chopped: a thread you can join at 01:00, leave at 04:30, or ride from first bass hit to sunrise without feeling like you’re stuck in one genre box. That flexibility is part of what makes it feel welcoming to queers who love harder sets and those who need melody, vocals or lighter textures to stay on the floor.
Why this kind of night matters for LGBTQIA+ people
Events like AFTER HOURS matter because they offer something many queer folks and allies still struggle to find:
- time — six hours where you don’t have to rush your night into a 90‑minute window before last orders
- space — one dancefloor treated as a meeting point, not just a background to the bar
- permission — to stay, sweat, flirt, observe, dance alone, dance together, and let desire exist without feeling watched by the wrong eyes.
In Brussels, where safer, mixed and queer‑friendly night spaces are still precious, a curated late‑night like this is more than “just another party”. It’s a reminder that the city can belong to us after midnight, too — and that clubs can choose to host nights where atmosphere and care come before hype.
