The Magic of Solidarity: KET Invited to Discover Solidarités Grands Froids’ Christmas Initiative in Brussels

On Tuesday, December 17, the KET editorial team had the privilege of being invited to witness a wonderful act of solidarity in the heart of Brussels. Near Place Bethléem in the Anderlecht district, human warmth filled the air despite the winter chill: Solidarités Grands Froids welcomed hundreds of children who came to experience a magical moment with Santa Claus himself.

Since 2018, UNIQLO has been a faithful supporter of the Brussels-based organization through an enduring partnership built on clothing donations and community action. Throughout the year, UNIQLO stores across Belgium collect pre-loved clothes and complement them with new LifeWear items — coats, thermal wear, and other seasonal essentials — especially during cold spells and emergencies. This continued effort directly supports people experiencing homelessness or precarious living conditions across the city.

On this December 17, nearly 900 children were welcomed to the Solidarités Grands Froids center for a truly special day. In a festive, fairy-tale setting, they met Santa Claus, received gifts, and shared moments of pure joy. The atmosphere overflowed with emotion, laughter, and the genuine smiles of volunteers determined to make the day unforgettable.

The big surprise? UNIQLO delighted everyone with a special treat — a live, unannounced concert by Belgian band PUGGY, turning the gathering into a heartwarming celebration of music and togetherness. As the first notes echoed through the venue, wonder and excitement lit up the crowd, young and old alike.

Through this event, UNIQLO once again showcased its Heart of LifeWear initiative — a commitment that goes beyond fashion to foster human connection, warmth, and solidarity with those who need it most. It was a beautiful reminder of compassion and community spirit — and KET was proud to witness it, right at the beating heart of Brussels.
