On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the organizations UTSOPI et Espace P (espacep.be) invite the public to take part in a day of workshops, discussions, and film screenings marking the World Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers (TDS).
This year’s event will take place in Liège, a symbolic location chosen in tribute to a sex worker who tragically lost her life this summer after being attacked on Rue Varin. The organizers emphasize the urgent need to denounce and address the systemic violence faced by sex workers in Belgium and beyond.
Program Highlights
2:00 PM – Gathering at Esplanade des Guillemins (1h)
A commemorative rally and public speeches in front of the Liège-Guillemins station to honour victims of violence.
4:00 PM – Workshops: “In Her Heels” & “Moi, c’est Maîtresse” (1h30)
Interactive sessions exploring the realities, stigmatization, and specific challenges faced by sex workers.
6:00 PM – Roundtable Discussion: “The Realities of Sex Work in Liège and Seraing” (1h30)
With current and former sex workers and representatives from local associations including UTSOPI, Espace Pet Centre S.
7:30 PM – Open Mic & Short Films (1h30)
Sex workers share personal testimonies followed by screenings of three short films created by sex workers themselves.
Throughout the day, participants will also be able to visit the exhibition “Motus et Bouches Cousues” curated by Espace P.
Snacks and drinks will be available free of charge.
