CAVE is turning Pride Saturday into an underground celebration

On Saturday 16 May 2026CAVE Brussels is hosting Under The Rainbow (Brussels Pride 2026 XXL Edition), a party that ties directly into the 30th anniversary of Brussels Pride and its theme, “When Times Get Darker, We Shine Brighter”. The event promises a space where “everyone is welcome,” with a strong emphasis on openness, respect and being unapologetically yourself.

That message fits neatly into Pride weekend’s wider energy, but CAVE is doing it in its own way: with an underground party identity, a late-night crowd and a clear invitation to celebrate under the same rainbow. It is the kind of event that turns Pride from a daytime symbol into a full-night release.

A Pride party with a club pulse

CAVE describes itself as “the underground party of Brussels”, and this XXL Pride edition keeps that identity front and centre. The party is located at Place de la Chapelle 6 and comes with a practical but very Pride-friendly detail: students who show their ID at the entrance get one free drink.

The event also makes clear that cash only is accepted at the bar, while a Bancontact point is available nearby at Regentschapsstraat 20. That kind of detail may seem minor, but it tells you this is a party with actual street-level logistics, not just a shiny poster.

Why it matters for Pride

Brussels Pride 2026 is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and the official theme is all about resilience and collective brightness in darker times. CAVE’s event translates that idea into nightlife: a space where queer people can gather, dance and be visibly present without needing to perform respectability.

That matters because Pride only feels complete when it includes both the march and the after-dark culture that sustains queer life the rest of the year. CAVE gives that side of the weekend a home.

A party that knows its audience

The tone of the event is confident but welcoming. CAVE is not pretending to be a neutral venue; it is proudly framing itself as a place for individuality, positivity and mutual respect. That makes it especially relevant for queer crowds looking for a space that feels celebratory without losing its edge.

For Ket, this is an easy one to highlight: it is Pride nightlife with character, a clear identity and a real sense of occasion. If the march is the public face of Pride, CAVE is the part where the city keeps dancing after dark.
