In every episode of KET Talks, the Brussels queer podcast, Vjeran recommends some tracks to add to your playlist ! This week we are going local with a two for one deal !
Angèle – La vie en rose
First up – Our angelic, soft spoken, unofficial queen of Belgian radio and LGBTQI+ Belgians Angèle, has covered Edith Piaf’s La Vie En Rose to celebrate all kinds of love, especially the Queer ones. In a video montage that highlights LGBTQI+ love in many Netflix series’, you will easily fall in love with Angèle’s voice. Or some of the characters….
Maxim Lany – Renaissance
Another incredible Belgian artist that we are happily recommending listening to today is Maxim Lany! He is an electronic music producer and DJ from Ghent. Very rarely, people break through at an incredibly young age in either electronic, rock, or pop music – Maxim is not one of them, but that is what makes his story even more interesting! In 2019, Maxim Lany broke through with a smashing hit Renaissance after 16 years of rocking the scene in Belgium where he was organizing events and playing residencies. In only one month, Renaissance had over million hits on Spotify and was played by famous DJs all over the world. We were lucky enough to have seen him play live at Hangar events in Brussels and we truly recommend – Whenever you can, sometime in the future, treat yourself with a Maxim Lany live set. Until then, stay safe and stream local artists!
Listen to KET Talks now on Spotify, YouTube, IGTV, Deezer and Apple Podcasts! Enjoy this fifth episode of the Brussels queer podcast and feel free to give us your feedback on Facebook and Instagram.
