On 24 April 2026, Le Jacques Franck in Saint-Gilles will host La nuit des Finta, a slam event dedicated to FINTA and queer performers as part of the Slameke Festival. The evening is presented as a rare open stage putting spotlight on voices that are often underrepresented in Brussels’ slam scene.
A stage for FINTA and queer artists
The event is described as an open stage dedicated to slameur·euses FINTA et Queer, organised with three established collectives: Queer Slam, L-Slam and Anti-Cyclone. The organisers say that while Brussels has many slam open mics, spaces specifically highlighting FINTA and queer stories remain rare.
Part of Slameke Festival
La nuit des Finta is part of the Slameke Festival, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Slameke collective. The programme includes a slam workshop in chosen mixity from 6pm to 8pm, performances by Raïssa Yowali and Sigma from 8pm to 8:30pm, and an open stage hosted by Prosodie particulière and Zig Zag of Queer Slam from 8:30pm to 10pm.

Why it matters
The event reflects a broader push to make Brussels’ cultural spaces more inclusive and to give more visibility to artists whose voices are often marginalised. Its emphasis on FINTA and queer perspectives places it at the intersection of poetry, performance and community organising.
