Certaines littératures ne cherchent pas à plaire, juste à survivre. Elles écrivent depuis les marges, les corps, les classes populaires, les sexualités dissidentes, les familles choisies. Pour raconter la violence, mais aussi le désir, l'humour, la tendresse et cette joie obstinée, qui devient une manière de résister. Pour cette soirée, les Midis poésie et Les Halles de Schaerbeek invitent Noémie Grunenwald, traductrice, autrice, éditrice et fondatrice de la maison d'édition Hystériques & AssociéEs, dont le travail contribue depuis des années à faire circuler des textes féministes, queer et profondément politiques dans l'espace francophone. Traductrice notamment de Dorothy Allison, Noémie pense la traduction comme un geste politique : traduire, c'est choisir quelles voix traversent les frontières, quelles histoires continuent à vivre, quels imaginaires deviennent accessibles. En dialogue avec Manon Didierjean, autrice et chercheuse, elles reviendront sur les liens entre littérature, représentations, domination des corps, héritages féministes et cultures queer, mais aussi sur la puissance de l'écriture comme espace d'émancipation. Parce que ces textes ne demandent pas seulement à être lus mais aussi à être écrits, la soirée débutera par un atelier d'écriture inspiré des propositions de Dorothy Allison, co-organisé avec Les Midis poésie. Pour clôturer la soirée, nous accueillerons un open mic consacré aux voix qui continuent de nous accompagner : celles des poétesses, romancières, militantes et révolutionnaires lesbiennes, queer, trans et féministes qui ont changé nos façons de raconter le monde. Une soirée pour célébrer les héritages qui refusent de disparaître.

This piece explores embracing, as both a choreographic and a political practice. On stage, two bodies, liberated from conventional notions of love. Presented by Swiss artist Bast Hippocrate, Joyaux lourdement sous-estimés [Heavily Underestimated Gems] portrays the relationship between two men who are drawn to each other, tear each other apart, and make up again, navigating self-discovery, physical exploration and romantic unease. Platonic relationships, chemsex, polyamory – the two lovers search for each other as a storm rises against a backdrop of individual traumas. Engaged in a tender and sensual pas de deux set to pop music, the performers lead the audience into the heart of their exchanges of movements and words, revealing the pitfalls of the power dynamics that inevitably take hold. How can we reinvent our way of being with others, of touching, seducing, and loving?
