Organized by the municipality of Ixelles and brought to life by the non-profit organization We Art XL, this event is set to captivate art enthusiasts and celebrate the artistic diversity that defines this vibrant community
The Ixelles Artists’ Trail offers an enticing array of free activities that will immerse you in the world of art and creativity. From studio visits to exhibitions, concerts to lectures, theater performances to street art tours, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. One of the highlights of the event is a large collective exhibition held in the iconic VOLTA building, a former power plant, which now stands as a testament to the fusion of art and architecture.

For its 2023 edition, the Ixelles Artists’ Trail has invited a range of esteemed partners, including ULB and VUB universities, the Ixelles Museum, the Blan Foundation, the Italian Cultural Institute, Brussels Philharmonic, BrAMS and many more.

@ Lou van_t riet
The heart of the event is the VOLTA building, where nearly 150 professional and amateur artists, along with a dozen associations, display a rich array of artworks. It’s a unique opportunity to engage with diverse artistic expressions, from paintings to sculptures, drawings to photographs, and performances. Thematic routes, including studio visits, street art tours, and multimedia experiences, offer different perspectives on the art scene around Ixelles.
