On Saturday, May 17, the streets of Brussels will once again shine in rainbow colors as the Brussels Pride takes over the city. More than just a celebration, this year’s Pride is a powerful call to action. Under the theme “Unite, Time to Protect Our Rights”, the event urges solidarity in the face of growing threats against LGBTQIA+ rights in Belgium, Europe, and beyond.

Brussels, the first European capital to kick off the Pride season, expects over 200,000 participants marching for equality, visibility, and justice. The Pride March will fill the city center, while the Pride Village will host community organizations and artists on multiple stages. The famous Rainbow Village in the Saint-Jacques district will once again be at the heart of the celebrations, keeping the party alive all weekend long.

But Pride is more than just one day! The Brussels Pride Week, starting May 7, will feature a rich program of cultural events, activism, and discussions, including the recognition of Brussels Pride as an intangible heritage of the city. The Mini-Pride on May 15 will add a playful touch, with the iconic Manneken-Pis dressed in a special outfit for the occasion.
To ensure an inclusive and safe event, a Safer Zone will be available for those needing support. And throughout the Pride Week, Brussels’ landmarks will light up in rainbow colors, turning the city into a beacon of LGBTQIA+ resilience and joy.
Join the movement, raise your voice, and let’s make Brussels Pride 2025 a powerful moment of unity!
