Brussels Pride 2026 gets underway on 13 May with the Pride Opening Party at VIAGE, in collaboration with Rainbow House Brussels and Visit Brussels. Running from 22:00 to 02:00, the night is designed as the official launch into Pride Week: a colourful, high-energy warm-up before the march and the rest of the citywide programme.
For Ket, this is the kind of event that perfectly captures what Brussels Pride does best: it mixes visibility, nightlife and community building into one shared moment. The party is part of a broader Pride calendar that also includes Pride Week from 6 to 15 May, the Pride Village on 16 May, and a series of talks, performances and community events across the city.

A Pride launch with nightlife energy
The opening party is hosted by VIAGE Entertainment, Cabaret Mademoiselle and partners linked to the wider Pride ecosystem. That combination matters because it places queer nightlife at the heart of Pride’s emotional beginning: not as an afterthought, but as one of the first spaces where the community gathers and takes over the city.

The official Brussels Pride programme makes clear that 2026 is about celebrating 30 years of Pride in Brussels under the theme “When Times Get Darker, We Shine Brighter”. The VIAGE party fits that message well: it is glamorous, collective and explicitly celebratory, but it also belongs to a wider political and community-driven week.
Why this night matters
The Pride Opening Party is more than just a club night. It helps set the tone for everything that follows by bringing together queer people, allies and community organisations in a space that feels festive but also purposeful. In Brussels, where Pride is increasingly spread across multiple venues and formats, opening night is a signal that the city is entering Pride mode together.

That matters especially this year because Pride 2026 is not only a march and a party; it is a 30th anniversary edition that emphasises visibility, rights and resilience. The opening night is the first spark in that broader story.
